Persepolis FC, which had been in talks with several teams about joining the first division, eventually decided to abandon the idea.

According to a report by the specialized sports economics website, citing Fars, Persepolis FC had been seeking to acquire shares in a first-division team to compete in the second division in recent weeks. The club held negotiations with several teams and eventually considered the offer from Baath Kermanshah FC.

The Kermanshah-based club had previously announced the sale of a portion of its shares for 120 billion tomans, while Ferdows Alborz FC had proposed 124.8 billion tomans for its shares. Given the financial situation, Baath Kermanshah's offer was more appealing to Persepolis, prompting the club's officials to continue negotiations and investigations.

However, during the evaluation of the team's status, it became apparent that Baath FC had signed contracts with 16 players by that time, effectively occupying a significant portion of the team's roster capacity. This, coupled with the time constraints for completing the share and license transfer process, posed a significant challenge for Persepolis to proceed with the project.

Ultimately, due to these circumstances and the lack of time to finalize the purchase process and prepare the team, Persepolis FC officials decided to abandon the acquisition of Baath Kermanshah and announced that they would not participate in the second-division competitions this season.

End of message.
