Europe and the world’s football revenue: billions in 2025
The revenue of the world’s 20 most profitable football clubs in the 2024/25 season reached €12.4 billion, with commercial income accounting for a significant portion.
The Deloitte Football Money League 2026 report reveals that the world's top 20 football clubs generated a record-breaking €12.4 billion in revenue during the 2024/25 season, marking an 11% increase from the previous year.
This total comprised €5.3 billion from commercial activities, €4.7 billion from media broadcasting rights, and €2.4 billion from matchday revenue. For the third consecutive year, commercial revenue was the largest income stream for these clubs, while matchday revenue saw a 16% increase compared to the previous season.
Looking at European club football as a whole, UEFA's "Financial and Investment Outlook for European Clubs" report predicts that top-tier clubs' revenue will surpass €30 billion in 2025. However, this is an estimate and should not be considered final revenue.
It's crucial to note that increased revenue doesn't necessarily equate to profitability. Operating costs, wages, and financing expenses also significantly impact a club's financial health.
