The commercial value of brands has become a key component of the football economy. According to the Brand Finance Football 50 2025 report, the total value of the world’s top 50 football club brands reached €21.9 billion in 2025, a 5.5% increase compared to the previous year.
Real Madrid topped the rankings with a brand value of €1.9 billion, followed by Barcelona in second place with €1.7 billion. Among English clubs, Manchester City (€1.4 billion), Liverpool (€1.4 billion), and Manchester United (€1.2 billion) were also among the world’s most valuable football brands.
At the league level, the total value of the top 10 Premier League brands reached €8.2 billion, equivalent to over a third of the total value of the world’s top 50 football brands. This concentration indicates that a club’s brand value is not solely dependent on match results, but also on factors such as fan engagement, commercial contracts, merchandise sales, and international presence.
