The Colorado Avalanche has partnered with SprintAI to make business processes and decision-making in hockey operations smarter.

The Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL) have announced a partnership with technology company SprintAI to implement artificial intelligence in their club operations, according to the specialized sports economics platform. The collaboration aims to enhance information flow, automate repetitive tasks, and support centralized decision-making.

In a statement released on October 13, 2026, SprintAI said the partnership was part of its ongoing work with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. The company had previously worked with the Los Angeles Rams in the American Football League.

The company said the technology would help employees collect and analyze dispersed information more quickly and spend less time on administrative and repetitive tasks.

From analytical tools to organizational management

The use of artificial intelligence in professional sports is no longer limited to game analysis or player performance evaluation. Automating internal processes, providing quick access to organizational knowledge, and facilitating communication between departments have also become new areas of application for this technology.

From an economic perspective, reducing the time spent on repetitive tasks can increase employee productivity. However, the actual savings depend on how the technology is implemented, the quality of the data, and its acceptance by employees.

The Colorado Avalanche partnership is an example of the expanding use of artificial intelligence in the day-to-day management of sports organizations. The success of this area is measured by indicators such as speed of work, quality of decisions, and cost of technology implementation.
